Same Sex Marriage - 29/03/14 - it's nearly here!
With Equal Marriage almost with us, here's a few tips to think of when choosing your perfect Wedding Venue...
WHEN would you like to get married? – Time of year and even day of week is key. Venues can get booked up, for “special dates” up to a couple of years in advance. The peak seasons for getting married are from the end of April to the end of September. December is also a popular month. Also, as you will imagine, Valentine’s Day is very popular! You may find wedding venues to be much cheaper at other times of the year.
Saturdays are normally the day of the week by choice to get married on. Fridays and Sundays are also popular. By choosing a day mid-week you will have more of a chance of being able to book your chosen wedding venue around the date you want and, generally, these days are a lot cheaper.
If you would like to get married sooner rather than later, don’t forget that many wedding venues often have late availability offers.
Before you speak with potential wedding venues, have a few dates in mind incase your preferred date isn’t available…
How many guests will you be inviting to your wedding ceremony? Will the Wedding Venue be able to accommodate a few more guests if you realise, at the last minute, you have more people to invite?
Will the Wedding Venue be exclusively yours for the day or is there a chance that another wedding ceremony could be taking place on the same day? Ask the venue this question if you are hoping to have the location exclusively yours for your wedding day. You don’t want to turn up to find another couple and their guests wandering around if you weren't expecting them!
