Our venue incorporates the historic Fox & Goose Inn, one of the oldest hostelries in Derbyshire with an abundance of charm and character. It was presented to the Monks of Beauchief Abbey in a license granted by Richard II in 1392.

We have maintained some of our original features which are still visible throughout the venue, making it one of the most historical and idyllic venues in Derbyshire and the surrounding areas for your wedding day.

For those of you who don’t want to miss a moment of our beautiful surroundings and stunning views, not only do we have the Abbey Suite, the Orangery and the Priory Room, we have the perfect setting on Pudding Pie hill for an intimate occasion or a spectacular Marquee or Tipi wedding for up to 250 guests and anything in between.

Every Wedding held with us is GUARANTEED exclusivity, you will be the ONLY newlyweds at the venue on your special day.

We are a registered civil wedding venue for all couples. Ceremonies can be held in our Abbey Suite or Orangery. Our Abbey Suite can cater for 100 seated guests for a Civil Ceremony and Wedding Breakfast and up to 200 for the Evening Reception. Our Orangery can cater for up to 40 seated guests for a Civil Ceremony and up to 40 for a Wedding Breakfast.

For every one of our couples, our dedicated wedding co-ordinator is on hand to guide you through the whole process, working with you to create your unique day. Our focus is on you and your guests, from the moment you arrive for your initial personal consultation to your wedding day.
