A stunning venue:
Nestled away in 250 acres of breath-taking countryside, with unspoilt views across the rolling hills of Lancashire and North Yorkshire is a purpose-built wedding venue Thornton Hall.

With exclusive use of the entirety of the venue, you are invited to make Thornton Hall your home for the day.

Thornton Hall. Enter the exclusive state of the art stone-built venue via a private entrance. Continue up the tiled staircase to the impressive function room, bathed in natural light from the stunning apex feature window offering unspoilt views across the countryside.

With its modern bar and additional snug area for guests, Thornton Hall can accommodate 110 guests.

Champagne bar and veranda. The private terrace and courtyard provides a picturesque setting to enjoy a toast, while the extensive grounds provide the ideal backdrop for your wedding photos. Picture your guests enjoying live music on the veranda and/or lawn games in the meadows.

Pagoda and meadow. A wonderful glass and oak beamed pagoda set in beautiful countryside surroundings make this venue an incredible choice for those wanting a relaxed ceremony with nature surrounding them.

The Snug. An exclusive area for your wedding morning preparations. Bringing cool, tropical vibes it’s the perfect cosy space for those important hours before saying “I do”. Furnished with everything you may need - beauty stations, full length mirror, clothes rail for your wedding attire, luxurious velvet sofa, built in sound system, private bathroom and a fun neon sign for those insta-worthy photographs with your squad. Situated next to the champagne bar for fizz and fresh coffee.

Getting married?
Thornton Hall is licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies/Civil Partnerships. With a choice of two licensed ceremony areas - the stunning, indoor Thornton Hall and the gorgeous, outdoor wedding pagoda.

A venue that has the border of Lancashire and Yorkshire running right through the middle! Allowing you to choose which county to hold your civil ceremony in!

Award-winning catering:
When it comes to your wedding breakfast and evening reception, Thornton Hall work with a choice of six wedding caterers of the highest quality service. With the utmost attention to detail, they will create a delicious personalised menu for your special day, sourced from the finest suppliers.

On hand to advise on the vast choice of menu options – a traditional three course wedding breakfast, BBQ, afternoon tea, sharing platters and buffets. With the promise to create something perfect to suit you and your guests.

Your chosen caterer will meet with you to discuss requirements and offer you a tasting, where you are able to sample the wonderful food and discuss your requirements in more detail.

Bespoke Packages and fun add-ons:
Include a visit into the award-winning Thornton Hall Country Park attraction for an opportunity to really make your day extra special. Whilst you enjoy your wedding breakfast and/or speeches, packages are available to keep little ones (and their grown-ups!) entertained on the Farm!

With a childcare service (2-hours with experienced Farm Guides (from £35 per child) that allows you to sit back and enjoy your day, in the knowledge that your little guests are entertained and in safe hands. Your mini VIPS can take part in farm activities including egg collecting, lamb and calf feeding, animal petting and access to the soft play barn.

Covering 250 acres or private grounds, the rolling hills of Lancashire and Yorkshire provide a stunning back-drop for your wedding photographs.

Accommodation:
Luxury Glamping. The onsite luxury glamping village ‘Dreamfields’ is based at Thornton Hall and available for your exclusive use on your wedding day. A perfect way for your guests to relax after your wedding.

With a range of luxury bell tents (sleeping 2–4 people) along with a unique ‘Honeymoon Suite’ bell tent ready for you to cosy up into after your amazing wedding day.

Hotels and rentals. There are several hotel options just a short drive away as well as a newly established luxury country house The Castleys, just across the field. This four-bedroom luxury home from home has been lovingly designed to ensure the most memorable and fantastic stay. All the bedrooms are beautifully presented with en-suite and flat screen TV. The stylish living, dining and kitchen areas are open plan making it an ideal space for everyone to be together, with a minimum 3-night stay this aligns perfectly with our exclusive venue hire, why celebrate one day, when you can celebrate all weekend!
