There is plenty for your guests to enjoy around the estate, including an abundance of scenic walks, discovering the wonderful Bolton Abbey Priory and ruins, enjoying a pre-wedding afternoon tea, or simply admiring the views of the rolling hills and the River Wharfe from the comfort of The Devonshire Fell.

Set amongst rolling hills and overlooking the River Wharfe in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Devonshire Fell has all the romance and drama of a Brontë sister’s novel. It can be exclusively yours for the day or even the weekend. With its fairy tale Edwardian architecture and bold impressive décor, The Devonshire Fell team can guarantee you will feel special and relaxed, surrounded by your nearest and dearest. We are proud to be a gay-friendly wedding venue and can accommodate up to 70 guests for a wedding breakfast and up to 100 for an evening reception.

We have a choice of two rooms available for your ceremony and reception. Our conservatory space is a small and intimate space for up to 20 guests, perfect for a civil partnership ceremony, while our beautiful Dalzell suite can accommodate a larger celebration. Both have incredible views overlooking the surrounding fell and village of Burnsall. We also have a selection of outdoor spaces such as our lawn and gardens that can be used for welcome drinks and canapés throughout the summer months.

You can enjoy exclusive use of our hotel for your family and friends. All of our facilities will be available just for you, including all 16 bedrooms, our Dalzell, Conservatory, gardens, bar, and lounge spaces. This means more flexibility to dress the hotel to suit your individual style and theme. You can make the most of your special day in comfort and privacy, and our events team and staff will be solely focused on what matters—your perfect same-sex wedding or civil ceremony!
