The Birch Hotel is an independent picturesque hotel in the Mid-Sussex town of Haywards Heath the hotel still boasts many of its original features, with the main building dating back to 1887.

We at The Birch Hotel strive to create a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. It’s our goal to make our guests feel at ease, greeting them with professionalism and attention for their every need.

Every wedding is different, every wedding dream differs, with this in mind.. we offer not only an all-inclusive package, but bespoke packages to build your perfect day. We can offer you an experience and flexibility like never before.

We can offer you a special personal service with a meal the night before the Wedding, on the day you can have your ceremony in the Sussex Suite with a maximum of 60 guests, followed by your reception drinks in our wood panelled chandeliered lounge, Wedding breakfast, party the night away in the Courtyard with all your friends & family then stay in one of our comfortable ensuite bedrooms and to finish have a big friends & family breakfast the next morning.

Whether your seated reception is for 8 or 80 guests there are three beautiful rooms – The Courtyard, The Sussex and The Bridge. One of these will be suitable for your reception with the added bonus that the Courtyard has additional capacity for an evening reception with dancing for up to 120 guests.

We offer superb bespoke catering which ranges from seated wedding breakfasts to buffet style, all of which will be pre-planned with you, and of course, any dietary needs can be met. There is a small garden area which is perfect for the all-important photos of your day as well as internal areas of the hotel that would make the perfect backdrop for those photos.

We host many receptions for couples who get married elsewhere and then want to celebrate closer to home with family and friends who could not be there with them.

We will ensure that your day is how you want it, our inhouse Wedding planner will work closely with you to go through all the details required.
