Strawberry Hill House, a little gothic castle, designed by Horace Walpole is grade I listed, dating back to the 18th Century, has been lovingly restored back to its original glory. Civil Ceremonies take place in the unique and lavish Gallery with its fan vaulted ceilings, golden canopies and crimson damask, and provides a truly memorable setting.
The gallery can accommodate 95 guests, the lawns outside provide the perfect setting for photographs and drinks reception afterward. For smaller intimate ceremonies the Round Drawing Room can be used for guests up to 40, hung with crimson damask and a beautiful stained glass window make this a memorable setting too.

"We had our wedding in August 2014. The house was the perfect choice for us. We fell in love with its charm and history from the moment we saw it. It seemed so well looked after and loved and what better place to share our own love!
What confirmed it for us was the warmth of the staff and how welcome we felt. No other place we visited made us feel so welcome and so special. The staff went out of their way to facilitate things for us. We felt like they were sharing in our joy and excitement, making us feel like we were among family. This was especially important for us as we didn't have family around. In fact, we had a few negative experiences looking for venues as we are a same sex couple.
Strawberry Hill House staff embraced us like any other couple and did not make us feel any different. How refreshing!
We will take this moment to say a big thank you again to Valerie and her team for making our wedding day very special and one to remember forever. She stood by us during all the excitement but also was there when things went wrong at the very last minute and we had to make some changes to the day. Valerie, we would not have been able to go through it without you.
My wife and I would highly recommend Strawberry Hill House to any couple looking for something quirky, full of character but equally having the extra personal touch."
