Welcome to St Martin’s Priory, Canterbury’s hidden gem. Our Venue is nestled in the heart of Kent and sits snuggly within the borders of the World Heritage site of St Martin’s Church, which is recognised by UNESCO as the oldest Church in England!

St Martin’s Priory is a Grade II listed building that is filled with local history and features Jacobean and Georgian architecture, offering elegance and sophistication to your day.

St Martin’s Priory is set among 2.5 acres of enchanted gardens and offers an intimate, private location for your big day. Your guests can enjoy a drinks reception out on the Tudor Lawn and stroll through to the picturesque Rose Gardens, which are perfect for pictures to capture your day, as well as offering breath-taking views of the historic Canterbury Cathedral.

Our dedicated wedding coordinator will work with you to make your day as perfect as you have imagined. We will be delighted to talk through and advise on all aspects that you would like to discuss such as theming and decorating so that you are confident your day will be everything you hoped for.

St Martin’s Priory also offers you a vast selection of food and drink options that can be tailored to create a bespoke package around you. We will work with you to create a menu that is bursting with delicious flavour and cooked to the highest of standards.

On the day itself, our team will ensure that everything runs as you have planned so that you can relax and enjoy the happiest day of your life. We understand that there are many aspects for you to plan and that’s why convenience is very important. Therefore during the summer months of July and August we are able to offer accommodation for your guests close to St Martin’s Priory. We can also offer up to 30 car parking spaces at the venue with more spaces available in car parks situated close by if necessary.

St Martin’s Church was originally built in Roman times and boasts a beautiful exterior, perfect for anyone desiring a church wedding. The Church is operated separately to St Martin’s Priory, however due to our close relationship, we are able to assist you in contacting the Church to arrange your wedding service.

After the wedding ceremony in the church, the newlyweds and guests can walk down the steps and through the picturesque walkway leading to St Martin’s Priory.
