Slindon House is a gorgeous inclusive wedding venue located in the pretty village of Slindon, West Sussex. As a gay-friendly venue, we would be honoured to host your LGBTQ+ wedding. Nestled in the heart of the South Downs National Park, this beautiful 18-acre property was once the summer palace of Stephen Langton, Archbishop of Canterbury to King John and King Henry III and witness to the signing of Magna Carta in 1215. Later rebuilt during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, the Manor House was bequeathed to the National Trust in 1948.

Today, couples and their guests are invited to come and experience all that this magnificent estate has to offer. Enjoy sweeping views of the sea and Downland countryside, and be a part of history as you begin the next chapter of your wonderful love story. The venue is available for your exclusive use.

Facilities and Capacity
Slindon House has facilities for indoor and outdoor wedding events, including civil ceremonies, receptions, and private parties. The building boasts a number of fully-licensed function rooms, large enough to accommodate parties of 60 to 130 guests. Outside civil ceremonies can be hosted on the lower garden with far reaching views of the surrounding countryside and sea beyond. The lovely Victorian orangery is a perfect location for a canape reception and the magnificent Great Hall offers the space you need for a beautiful reception. If you wish to have a marquee for larger celebrations, then there is ample space within the extensive grounds. The grounds also feature a sensory garden and stone arbor, a perfect setting for photo opportunities.

There is also a small farm on the grounds where Norman the donkey would love to say hello on your special day. He can celebrate with a carrot or two!
