Whether you are looking for an intimate wedding venue in which to marry in style or somewhere to celebrate with a larger party, Scampston Hall in North Yorkshire is the ideal venue for your wedding ceremony, civil partnership or reception. 

Having been remodelled in the Regency period and boasting a superb collection of fine art, Scampston Hall is a wonderful house in which hold a wedding ceremony or drinks reception. The gardens and grounds offer a superb backdrop for a marquee and around every corner you will find enviable photo opportunities.  

A wedding at Scampston Hall is truly personal. We are able to offer a range of options which can be tailored to your unique tastes and budget, we can also provide a professional wedding coordination and event planning service. 

Civil Ceremonies

Scampston Hall holds a Civil Licence allowing weddings and civil partnership ceremonies to take place in any or all of our elegant reception rooms. The Drawing Room, Dining Room, and South Library all have beautiful views over the surrounding parkland, and full length windows allowing direct access to our glorious gardens. These beautiful reception rooms are the ideal size for ceremonies of up to 100 guests.  

For larger parties we are now delighted to be able to offer a ceremony on the wonderfully romantic Palladian Bridge.  

Wedding Receptions

Whether you choose to get married here or in church, Scampston Hall can be the perfect setting for your wedding celebrations. Whether it’s a champagne and canapé reception in our elegant reception rooms, or a lavish dinner and dance, we can accommodate you.

Receptions generally take place in our three main reception rooms and can accommodate up to 200 guests for champagne and canapés. In fine weather your guests can spill out into our stunning gardens. 

For wedding breakfasts and parties of larger numbers, our stunning marquee site can accommodate up to 500 guests. All can be dressed and personalised to suit you.
