Welcome to the legendary Over Barn, Gloucestershire’s most magical rustic wedding venue.

Set on a family-run farm on the outskirts of Gloucester, this nineteenth century grain barn was transformed in 2009 into a stunning venue for any occasion. In 2022 we were granted a Civil Ceremony License and in February 2023 the lovely Ryan & Brandon became our first couple to be legally married couple, cementing our local reputation as an inclusive LGBTQ+ friendly venue!

Further refurbishments followed in 2020 with new roof and wood cladding and the amazing new glass entrance, but with all the many period features – Victorian cider presses turned in to tables; the famous bar made from a mighty oak that once stood on the farm, and blew down in a storm; the wagon wheel chandeliers hanging from giant wooden beams - all lovingly retained.

The party barn is framed by a large courtyard with festoon lights for that festival feeling – the perfect place for drinks receptions and wedding ceremonies - with covered area for seating which houses the pizza oven, skittle alley, BBQs & hog roasts, and a large courtyard with a stone fire pit at its centre for that time of the evening when only toasted marshmallows will do.
