Exchange your vows in our romantic West Country estate.
Leigh Court is a superb example of a country mansion and one of Bristol and Somerset’s most desirable wedding venues.
Shielded from the bustle of Bristol city by ancient woodland, Leigh Court was designed by architect Thomas Hopper in 1814 for Bristol’s first recorded millionaire. This graceful regency-era mansion combines elegant Palladian architecture with opulent Greek revival interiors and lavish 19th century decor.
Our exclusive south west wedding venue is perfect for weddings and civil ceremonies, blessings, and celebrations of all kinds. We’re proud to be a gay friendly venue in Bristol, and welcome same sex weddings and celebrations. Our floating double staircase in the Great Hall is perfect for double entrances, imagine descending the fairy tale staircase and looking across the hall to your other half, meeting on the final steps to make your vows beneath the original 19th century skylight.
From an intimate ceremony in the Great Hall to a huge celebration in a marquee on the lawn, our historic venue and extensive lawns give you the space to plan the wedding of your dreams and the freedom celebrate the way you want to.
And, when we say Leigh Court will be exclusively yours we mean it. Your wedding day will be reserved just for you, giving you and your guests exclusive use of the venue and 25 acres of private parkland.
Each of our stunning ground floor rooms is licensed for marriage and civil ceremonies. The blush-coloured Morning Room is perfect for vintage tea parties and romantic wedding breakfasts, the regency extravagance of the Tapestry Room will leave your guests speechless, and there can be no better entrance than the floating staircase in the Great Hall.
When it comes to your wedding reception, let your imagination be your guide. Receptions can be hosted in one of the beautiful ground floor rooms or a marquee on the lawn. So you and your guests can fall in love with the classic elegance of the Morning room with its original chandelier and beautiful white fireplace, banquet in the sunshine yellow Library, or surround yourself with luxury with a champagne reception in the breath-taking Great Hall or Tapestry Room.
If you’re looking for a wedding venue with accommodation nearby you’ll be delighted with the special rates we have secured at hotels a short hop across the famous Clifton Suspension Bride in Clifton village.
