Highdown Vineyard nestles on the southern slopes of the South Downs between Littlehampton and Worthing. Originally planted 18 years ago it now produces award-winning wines.

We provide an ideal venue for civil partnerships and weddings and can offer you very flexible choices for your wedding celebration.

At Highdown we feel that each wedding is individual and the couples requirements differ as well as their budgets and therefore we don’t have ‘standard packages'. Although a relatively new venue some of weddings we have already done have included formal sit down fine dining, informal hog roasts, barn dances, sparkling cream teas, a totally vegetarian wedding and an Indian wedding.

Some have had marquees on our lawn overlooking the vineyard, some have had ‘marqueed’ over our courtyard garden, and some have used one or both of our function rooms in our beautiful new barn-style building. Guest numbers have varied from 40-200. Given the different possibilities of rooms and areas, we find that the best way to give an estimate as to what the kind of wedding you would like is to meet you, show you the options available here and talk about menus, numbers, budget, times and at least some of the details of what you would like to make it want you really want.

This is a small, family run business owned by Paul and Aly Englefield. Their background in films gives customers a myriad of creative ideas if needed, firm understanding of budgets and sticking to them and care and precision about every detail. Together we will discuss your plans to ensure that it is perfect down to the last detail. Whether you are looking for a small intimate party or a large scale affair we will cater to your needs with care and enthusiasm.

We have also hosted hen and stag parties, offering them a private wine tasting and lunch. Our option of a sparkling wine tasting has of course proved very popular! And we can even hold a wedding list for those who don’t want toasters or towels!
