Hamswell House is a historic manor house on its own estate. It has an orangery and picturesque walled gardens and is surrounded by stunning countryside.
When you hold your civil ceremony and wedding reception at Hamswell, you will have the exclusive use of the orangery and the grounds for the day and evening to share with your guests.
You can hold the ceremony inside the beautiful 18th Century orangery with its Cotswold stone roof and huge arch windows. It can seat 40 inside, while the rest of the guests can watch and listen to the short ceremony from outside on the lawn.
Following the service, you can join your guests for celebratory drinks on the terrace and enjoy the stunning rural views.
The gardens and the backdrop of the house make the perfect setting for your wedding photographs. You and your guests are free to explore the walled gardens, pergola and terraced herb garden before moving to an elegant marquee for the evening celebration.
We can accommodate up to 240 guests in a marquee for a seated dinner. What's more, you are free to bring your own wine and bubbly for the celebration. We do not charge corkage, which saves you a small fortune.
Alternatively, if you are only looking for a small wedding for up to 40, followed by a drinks reception, we can arrange that too. Please see our small weddings page on our website (our website link can be found below).
Make your wedding day truly magical at Hamswell House.
