WEDDINGS ON CAERHAYS ESTATE
THE COASTGUARD’S LOOKOUT
This historic, gay-friendly, listed building is perfect for small parties, for intimate, romantic ceremonies and pre-reception drinks.
As close to an outdoor ceremony venue as it’s possible to be, this completely unique location is perfect for the adventurous couple seeking an alternative to the norm!
Situated on the rural headland overlooking the coast, the Coastguard’s Lookout offers stunning views over Veryan Bay and beyond. The coastal backdrop presents the perfect scenery for photographs, and opportunities for photographs to be taken on the Beach after the ceremony are encouraged at no extra cost.
The Coastguard’s Lookout is a small and magical building, perfect for an intimate ceremony. Inside it can accommodate up to 20 of your closest family and friends for a unique and unforgettable wedding ceremony.
The Coastguard’s Lookout has a simple, rustic feel to it, and can be decorated as simply or as decadently as you wish. Here on Caerhays Estate no two weddings are the same. We love to hear each couple’s special ideas, and we believe each wedding should be as individual as the couple who celebrate it.
This unique setting is suitable for ceremonies and pre-reception drinks, and is situated only a short distance from both The Vean and the Castle grounds on Caerhays Estate, which provide ideal venues should you wish to continue your celebrations with a larger reception.
About Caerhays Estate: As well as our historic Castle and world-renown gardens, Caerhays estate offers two very different wedding venues licensed for ceremonies and three stunning reception venues. We also offer a Beach Cafe venue which is suitable for events, parties, barbeques and live music, situated just a short walk from the Castle. As well as the above, Caerhays Estate offers guest accommodation in The Vean, our Georgian manor house, or in one of our eight holiday cottages across the estate.
