Country Chic Civil Weddings...
Broadoaks Country House is the ideal Lake District gay wedding venue to host your special day.
This beautiful Victorian Lakeland Country House was built in 1836 as the summer residence of a rich military man. The house today still feels like a stately home rather than a hotel, making it the perfect choice for an intimate exclusive use wedding in the Lake District.
The house is surrounded by secluded gardens and woodland and there’s a magical beck that runs through the grounds, providing the perfect backdrop for romantic photographs. The pristine lawn area is the perfect setting for that dream outdoor ceremony, and even doubles up as a helipad!
The main house has undergone a program of refurbishment and each of the 19 luxurious boutique bedrooms has its own individual quirks. You will find hydrotherapy spa baths in some of its bathrooms, hand-carved 4-poster beds, and some even have their own private outdoor seating areas of log burners. The tricky part is matching your guests to the rooms!
Many of the guests that visit Broadoaks never forget the magical feel it conjures up and return year after year. You will never forget this special place.
Also, as a gay-owned wedding venue, Broadoaks has become well known as the best gay wedding venue in the Lake District, and its events team has planned, organised, and delivered some of the most memorable LGBT Lake District weddings imaginable.
The Michelin recommended restaurant can prepare mouth-watering sit-down wedding breakfasts for up to 110 guests with up to 5 courses of locally sourced luxury cuisine. For your evening celebrations, they can host up to 130 guests.
The best way to get feel for Broadoaks is to let the incredibly friendly events team give you a tour. Virtual Zoom tours can be booked, or in-person appointments will be available under strict social distancing rules.
To arrange an appointment, call the events team on 01539 445566, ext. 2, (if you don’t get an answer, please leave a message and they will call you back).
