Just outside Bristol is the city's little-known gem: Backwell House, a beautifully-refurbished Georgian country house complete with curiosities galore. We have a licence for civil ceremonies of up to 60 people in the house or an unlimited number on the front steps, and we welcome same sex couples.

Backwell House boasts nine luxury ensuite bedrooms, sleeping up to 18, all uniquely furnished with vintage treasures. The house’s crowning jewel is the stunning Cider Barrel Bar room, perfect for a champagne reception. There is also a breakfast room, lounge and a cinema room for the cosy Sunday slumber party.
