Asia House has several rooms available for events: whether it be receptions, conferences, public address and drinks or dinner parties. Asia House holds a wedding licence so is perfect for wedding receptions. Audio-visual projector equipment is available for lectures, presentations and showing videos or DVD’s.

History of the Building

Asia House at 63 New Cavendish Street is a beautiful Grade II* listed building, originally planned by Robert and James Adam on the Duke of Portland’s Marylebone Estate in the 1770's.

By 1775, the Adams’ attention had turned to the creation of Portland Place and JohnJohnson, a neo-classical architect took the site, where he erected the magnificent townhouse that has been renovated and redeveloped as Asia House. Sensitively converted by an architect of Indian origin at Calford Seaden architects, Asia House’s rooms retain original features including Sir John Soane’s bookcases, and stunning inset classical paintings whilst other parts of the building have been modernized in line with English Heritage recommendations.

Asia House is licenced for weddings and civil ceremonies. The Georgian design allows for brightly lit rooms which highlight the elegancy which adds a touch of élan to any service of up to 85 guests. Asia House can also cater for your Wedding breakfast and reception for up to 200 guests. A great location in central London, perfect for guests travelling from far and wide.

The house is available for private hire, at the weekend this ensures that the house is your own private venue for you, your betrothed and your nearest and dearest. The elegant Fine Rooms of the building are at the top of a sweeping central staircase beyond the huge doors are 3 great rooms with adorned ceilings, painted with renaissance scenes and hung with great chandeliers. Each room owns its own marble fireplace, a perfect centre piece for a luscious wedding.
