Here at Old Down Estate we can offer you the choice of two stunning venues available on the estate, we are sure we can offer the perfect setting for your special day.
Originally built in 1856, Old Down Manor is nestled in the heart of a 66-acre country park and has been beautifully refurbished to become the 5* Wedding venue it is today. The Manor house and its grounds offer a stunning backdrop with panoramic views of the River Severn and its bridges, and over into the rolling Welsh hills.
Alternatively, with its exposed beams, stone walls, flagstone floor and open fires, The Barn at Old Down Estate is the perfect place to hold an unforgettable rustic wedding.
We understand you want to share your wedding day with those you love, our venues are exclusively yours for your big day.
Old Down Estate has great links to the M4/M5 motorways and Bristol city centre.
The Manor at Old Down Estate
After your guests have driven through your exclusive wedding gates, down a tree-lined avenue to your private car park, they can enjoy an arrival drink on our manicured lawn whilst taking in the beauty of the views across the Severn River.
The ceremony itself can take place in several rooms within the Manor. You may choose to take advantage of the views by saying 'I do' in the Orangery or Bernays, both with floor to ceiling windows. Or maybe you’ll opt for drama and choose to marry in our vaulted atrium with its grand sweeping staircase.
Once seated for your wedding breakfast in the Orangery you will enjoy exquisite cuisine, lovingly prepared by our talented chefs. Moving on to our cosy library is the perfect place to enjoy tea and coffee, especially for those guests who need to rest their feet.
Ready to party? Your evening entertainment will take place in the Bernays room where you can party the night away or at least until last orders are called at the bar at 12.30am.
Not ready to stop partying? Take advantage of our extended license in our secret late night bar.
After all of this, you and your guests can unwind in one of thirteen beautifully appointed rooms, each with lavish decor and chandeliers. You can enjoy the view as you rise to share an intimate breakfast with the ones you love. With the option of a late check-out, you can take advantage or our indoor heated pool.
The Barn at Old Down Estate
For our Barn, you and your guests will park in our Country Park car park and enter our charming walled garden through your own ornate gates. Guests will be greeted with a drink which can be enjoyed in our heated Folly.
You can choose to say 'I do' in our quaint summerhouse situated on our luscious green lawn or inside the Barn with its rustic charm and roaring wood burners.
With our Barn you have more food choices available to you, rather than the traditional 3 course meal. From hog roast to afternoon teas, there’s an option for everyone.
Ready to party? The Barn comes with its own fully stocked bar to help you party into the night with the ones you love.
If you are looking for overnight accommodation, you can take advantage of our stunning properties on and off site, accommodating up to 26 people.
