With the use of approx. five acres spread over two connecting fields there is masses of space. You will feel secluded and private without being hemmed in, and the view across rolling countryside to the South Downs and Chanctonbury Ring is simply stunning.

We want you to enjoy your celebrations, not be stressed about them. When you work with us we will help you to have the wedding of your dreams in a smooth and relaxed way, helping you plan and helping to keep you calm! We are passionate about making sure that you have a great celebration.

Great Betley Farmhouse welcomes same sex couples – after all love is love! With your choice of marquee style, caterers, bar, décor, etc., you can really put your personalities and style into your celebrations here at this blank canvas wedding venue – we’re not a wedding factory! From Festival Style, English Country Garden Party, Neo-Pagan, to Alice in Wonderland and beyond we can’t wait to hear what your ideas are! We’ve had fire eaters and circus artists here, oversized garden games and rounders, a bouncy castle and a bucking bronco game.

Whilst we are not licenced for the legal part, we love to have celebrant ceremonies on the lawn by the pond, which is wonderfully personal. Real petal or leaf confetti is allowed and always makes a beautiful photographic shot. Fireworks and Chinese/Sky Lanterns are not permitted for environmental reasons however sparklers are allowed.

A Temporary Event Notice (TEN) from the local council covers the supply of alcohol and amplified music, and if you want to party on later than the TEN timings we heartily recommend a silent disco to keep that dance floor filled!

From the moment you arrive at Great Betley Farmhouse you and your guests will feel welcome, relaxed and looked after. We have an extensive list of recommended suppliers who we have worked with or know personally and trust to help make your wedding celebrations the best. We can put on a rehersal dinner for the night before your same sex wedding which starts the celebrations off perfectly.

Four double bedrooms on a bed and breakfast basis are included in the price. There is a beautiful main en-suite bedroom which is perfect for getting ready in and three other bedrooms which share two bathrooms. Your guests are welcome to camp or glamp in the fields or even bring a camper van.
